[W/Mo, Various] Cyclone Farmer : W/Mo

This is a revised and updated build from a previous post here:
http://forums.gwonline.net/showthread.php?t=382014

Skills
Cyclone Axe | Bonetti’s Defense | Gladiators Defense| Judges Insight | Vigorous Spirit | Live Vicariously | Strength of Honour | Balthazar’s Spirit

Attribute Allocation
Healing Prayers: 9
Smiting Prayers: 8
Axe Mastery: 7+4
Strength: 4+1
Tactics: 11+1

This is my skill point allocation. It is not optimized. If you want you can use a tactics helm and superior tactics rune to get the same setup but with a point or 2 more in strength. The breakpoints you will want to hit are 8 smiting, 11 axe, and 12 tactics.

Required Equipment:
Nothing Specific is required, but to help people out I will list some suggestions.

Shield: Stance or Enchantment Shield with +45 health / -2 Damage mods. There are 2 collectors’ shields that meet these requirements. The Stance shield is available from a collector North of Thirsty River. He will require you to have 5 Bleached Shells to trade for the shield. These will cost you about 1k each if you choose to buy them instead of find them, but it is well worth it.

The Second Shield is the Enchantment Shield. This is available from the Collector in Mamoon Lagoon. He will require you to have 5 ancients’ eyes to trade for the shield. This shield is of slightly lower quality, only having 12 defense compared to the maximum 16, but the difference will not be noticeable.

A “Green” shield can also be used, but they will not provide you with any greater benefit, they just cost more.

Weapon: There are 2 cheap collector options available here, the stance axe and the enchanted axe. The Stance axe can be gotten from the collector east of the Dunes of Despair. He will require you to have 5 Dune Burrower Jaws to trade for the Axe.

The Enchanted Axe can be gotten from the trader north of the Dunes of Despair. He will require you to have 5 Encrusted Lodestones to trade for the axe. The same axe can also be crafted in Droknars Forge from the weapon smith there for 5,000 gold and some common crafting materials.

A +15% Damage while above 50% health or +15% damage always axe are equivalent to the axes listed of above for the purpose of this build, but would cost more money to get.

Suggested weapon modifications would be:
Prefix: Furious
Suffix: Defense, Shelter, Fortitude

Armor: Whatever you are using is probably good enough as long as it is Dorknars or better. The suggested outlay would be Gladiators Leggings, Hauberk, Gloves; Ascalon/Knights boots, and Executions or +Tactics Helm.

This is what I wear:

Best Creatures to Farm with this build
Griffons+Minotaurs: I find it most effective to split them into two groups. Agro everything on the way to location 1 and fight them there. Next round up everything around on your way to location 2 and fight them there.

There are a possible 2 bosses in the area. If the monk boss spawns ignore it. If the warrior boss spawns this build has the power kill it in a reasonable amount of time. When I do my runs if the warrior boss spawns I kill him.

Mountain Trolls: If you don’t know where the Troll Cave is you can just look at the map I posted. There are usually around 20 trolls in here to kill. There are also 2 bosses who spawn every time, a Ranger boss and a Warrior Boss (names Krogg). Agro all the trolls in the initial hall of the cave, then run to the warrior boss (krogg). Sometimes not all the trolls will follow you so you have to do a bit of running around to get them all in a location where they will stay.

Minotaurs in Elona: Just enter the mission. The Minotaurs are basically right at the start and cannot be missed.

How the build Works
The build functions around Cyclone axe, Bonettis, Vigorous Spirit, and Live Vicariously. I start out by casting Balthazar’s spirit on myself when I enter an area and after a small amount of energy has reneged cast Strength of Honor on myself. Start a battle by using Gladiators Defense, then use Live Vicariously followed by a cyclone axe. After that cast Vigorous sprit followed by another cyclone axe. Gladiator’s defense will be running out by this time so cast bonettis on yourself. Follow bonettis with a cyclone axe, then another bonettis, and so on. Cast Judges Insight on yourself if you want to do more damage. Always try to cast you spells with the recharge of cyclone axe so that you can always keep bonettis up.

This may sound complex, but once you get the hang of it, it is very easy.

Here are a couple of Videos that might help you in understanding how to operate the build:
Griffon Run: http://files.filefront.com/Gw_5avi/;.../fileinfo.html
Troll Cave: http://files.filefront.com/Gw_7avi/;.../fileinfo.html
Minotaurs: http://files.filefront.com/Gw_8avi/;.../fileinfo.html

Sorry, no glamour in these videos, just straight out unedited game play without sound.

In this thread please on discuss the build posted. If you want to post your own make a new thread or post it in the original thread found at the link at the top of this post.

I have the same build theory, but i don't use balt spirit or strength or any smiting for that matter.

Bonetti
Glads Def
Cyclone
Executioner
Heal Sig
Sprint
Mending
Live Vicariously

Mending is strictly to hold up your health while you're running to aggro up creatures. The first time you go into aggro, hit glads then live vicariously and start cycloning. Use executioners only in conjunction with glad's def and sprint is for getting to the place you want.

I have a vamp axe with 8 healing prayers so i'm getting 11 health per hit. I don't need the heal signet but i have not yet figured out what else to put there (i rarely use it)

I use almost the same set-up!

only i take thrill of victory instead of executioners strike and vigorous spritit instead of heal signet.

tactics= 16
axe=9
strength=5
healing=8

with tactics at 16 thrill of victory is much better then executioners strike!!

for weapon i use a spiked axe req 8 furious 10/10 hp+30
tall shield req 10 hp+28 always and -2 dmg in stance or i use my tall shield req 8 -2dmg in stance -2dmg enchanted

the only problem i'm facing is that all drops on any of the places are just crap!
haven't found anything that had any other use then going straigth to the merchant.

Troll farming is just for money nowadays, I believe, unless you like raven staves. Griffons will sometimes still drop golds, but not very often...especially with the anti-farming code on...
