I didn't, I use comfort animal as a universal heal/res for the pet. With all the cumbersome beastmastery skills, it's hard to fit it in there.

Yes, we still need a warthog, lynx, and a wolf for the tests...

I might be able to offer the assistance of my wolf, though it is currently only LvL 19 but with a bit of training it should level up very soon. In game I go by the name of Kawai Nogitsune and I hope you accept my help with this.

Many thanks for taking the time to do this. Some numbers to indicate efficiency are much appreciated.

erm.. huh? didn't notice, didn't see it, didn't happen... with only 9 Beastmaster lvl Revive Animal brings them back with 320 health, looks to be about 80% or so of a lvl 20 Bears' hp (went to test because with multiple Rangers only one of us needs to rez all the pets)

I actually completly removed my pet as soon as I hit kryta because it kept dying in the poison swamps. It's now level 17 but I'll try leveling it up to 20. It's a Snow Wolf from just outside Yak's Bend, and my in game name is Kiru Malkav :)

Give me a yell in game if you want my help either forming a team to do this with or to see if I've gotten to 20 yet (The pet that is, I'm already at 20 character wise)

I have heard from some people that the Black Bear and the Brown bear from pre-ascalon are actually different. Is this true?(in this scenario people say that the brown bear is better)

woww :surprise: great work everyone :happy34: , i would help if i could, but my ranger is still at lvl 12... :( the pets seems to be pretty much the same...but(this is really weird) do you think monsters and human players have different kind of attacks? cuz for me, the moa bird seems really do take more beating than my previous wolf or stalker when theyre at the same lvl, or is it just that monsters have skills thats somehow more effective on pets(not more damage or effect, but...like, "countering" the pet)

once again, good job :happy34:

Was taking a look at a Prima Strategy Guide and noticed a little section on animals near the end of the guide.

Here's basically what it says:

1. Pet's health determine by lvl, just like us.
2. As the pet grows, its attack grows.
3. "Pets may experience "evolutions" as they level and are granted stronger or weaker attacks and defenses. Which evolutions occurs depends on your play style and how you utilize your pet."

Chart
Animal....lvl charmed....Dmg....Armor
============================
Strider...............1....pierce 3-5....AC 3
Wolf..................2....slash 4-6.....AC 6
Warthog...............2....blunt 4-6.....AC 6
Moa Bird..............3....slash 5-8.....AC 9
Melandru's Stalker....5....slash 6-10....AC 15
Snow Wolf.............5....slash 6-10....AC 15
Lynx..................5....slash 6-10....AC 15
Warthog...............5....blunt 6-10....AC 15
Dune Lizard...........5....pierce 6-10...AC 15
Black Bear............5....slash 6-10....AC 15
Elder Black Widow....20....pierce 17-29..AC 60

I don't know why warthog was listed twice. Maybe for pre and post searing. I've never charmed one, so I have no clue. Also no BM ranks were listed with the table, so I don't know if that's 0 BM or 12 BM they used for dmg. But by looking at the test results for the Elder Black Widow, its probably 12 BM.

Just some more info to add to what's already been tested. =)
